The Little Mix girls are the latest British band to attempt to crack America and they have asked some of their fellow, successful Brits for some advice on how to achieve success in the US. Leigh-Anne Pinnock says that she asked the One Direction boys for their top tips and they just told her that they should all just be themselves.
Pinnock explained to US magazine Seventeen, "I asked the boys from One Direction how to make it in America and they basically said, 'Be yourself and you can't go wrong'. People know when you're trying to be someone you're not. Just be true to who you are. So that's what we've been doing!"
Meanwhile, Leigh-Anne Pinnock's Little Mix band mate, Jade Thirlwall says that she also got some top advice from former Spice Girl star Emma Bunton aka Baby Spice. Thirlwall added, "When we met the Spice Girls, Emma Bunton told us to keep being friends because that's the connection fans love you for."
Little Mix have already released their debut single Wings in the US, which is out now and featured in the recent season finale of the hit Fox musical television series Glee. Little Mix will release their debut album in the US later in the year.
