Once again Lord Sugar has sparked controversy by sharing his forthright opinions on Twitter. This time it is because he has criticized the new cast in EastEnders. On 2nd January 2014 he tweeted, “The new cast are a total joke.” He referred to the Carter family who have moved in to the Queen Victoria pub on Albert Square. His criticisms come in spite of the fact that his own niece stars in the popular British soap opera. Rita Simons plays the role of feisty Roxy Mitchell.
Danny Dyer is one of the actors to arrive in Eastenders, playing the father of the Carter family, Mick Carter. He was quick to retaliate to Lord Sugar's criticisms by responding with a tweet saying, "Now now Mr Sugar be nice. The trolling lark don't suit ya." Not wanting to create enemies, Lord Sugar responded by saying that it wasn't personal.
Lord Sugar is well-known for being an avid use of Twitter and often shares his opinions on both controversial and topical issues. He recently tweeted that he expected Abbey Clancy, the model and presenter wife of footballer Peter Crouch, to win the latest season of Strictly Come Dancing, with that prediction coming true when she was voted as this seasons champion.
The zillionaire entrepreneur is no stranger to being in the limelight, his opinionated personality has made him an ideal candidate for appearing on talk shows. Furthermore, he is well-known as the potential employer in the popular reality show The Apprentice.
We personally love the cut of his comments, time and time again.
