Actor Lou Ferrigno has been involved with voicing the character Hulk in a number of different projects since way back in 1977 and it seems that he is going to continue his affiliation with the character. As some of you may well already know, Lou was involved in doing the roars and the grunts for Hulk in the Marvel movie The Avengers, while Mark Ruffalo played the role of Bruce Banner aka Hulk.
During the course of The Avengers we only get one real line of speech from Hulk, when he defeats Loki and says the line "Puny God", which is actually said by Mark Ruffalo, with Lou Ferrigno sticking to the grunts and growls. We have already seen Mark back on the set of the Marvel sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron and it has now been confirmed that Lou will also return to do his part.
It is likely that we will not know if there is any actual dialogue for Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron but we assume that, if there is, then Mark Ruffalo will once again handle the speech while Lou Ferrigno returns to do the roars and what not. Some fans feel that this makes the character sound a little disjointed and that Marvel should just use one of the actors to do all the sounds for the character.
We love seeing Lou Ferrigno continuing his association with Hulk and are glad that Joss Whedon and co. have managed to find a place for him within the project. Avengers: Age of Ultron will open on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
What do you think about Lou Ferrigno and Mark Ruffalo sharing the Hulk?
