The X Factor ever-present Louis Walsh has signed on for another season of the hit ITV show, making it ten years as a judge on The X Factor. While Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger are holding out for a pay rise on their current deals, reports claim that Louis Walsh has agreed to stick with his £1m package.
A show insider explained, "Louis is mindful of economic troubles, particularly in his native Ireland where the property market has crashed, so he didn’t think it was right to ask for a pay rise. A £1million deal is plenty for anyone and he’s just happy to have his place back on the panel.”
Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne is likely to sign a £1.8m deal this week, to return as a judge on The X Factor, while Gary Barlow wants an increase on his £1.5m deal and Nicole Scherzinger is hopeful of matching Gary's pay grade.
While Louis Walsh will return for another season of The X Factor, he is also working on his own project, to build a boyband that will rival One Direction. Walsh recently explained, “It will be boys over 16 from anywhere. I am looking for five pop stars — but they must be prepared to work hard."
