The X Factor judge Louis Walsh has hit back at former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole regarding recent claims she made about him managing Girls Aloud. Cheryl said that Louis was the Girls Aloud manager by name and was happy to get paid but was never really involved with the group.

Walsh told The Mirror, “As far as I’m concerned, our friendship is over. I’ve no idea why she made these comments but it says a lot about her. I was always the first to defend her on the X Factor, and always watched her back. I thought we were friends.”
He added, “I won’t stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now I’d give her a piece of my mind.” Louis Walsh claims that he was one of the people who stood by Cheryl Cole when she was axed from The X Factor USA.

Louis said at the time, “'I talked to Cheryl today - we’ve been texting all day and we’re having fun. I think she’s going to be fine." Walsh also previously claimed that he would love for Cheryl Cole to return to The X Factor UK. However, it seems that things may now be a little different.
