Irish, The X Factor judge, Louis Walsh, has revealed how he wants people to give him some of the credit for the success of the British boyband One Direction. Louis was part of the judging panel that chose to put the five boys together at The X Factor auditions and states that he wants some recognition for that.

Walsh told Irish Daily Star, "I'm really pleased for them - it's an incredible achievement. I just want it to be noted that I'm taking some of the credit because I helped put that band together."
Louis then continued by accepting that a lot of the praise for the achievements of One Direction recently, especially in the US, has to go to Simon Cowell. Walsh claims that Cowell has had complete belief in One Direction from the day they were formed.

He added, "One Direction are number one in America because Simon made it happen. From the very start he's always believed this act could break internationally and crack the American market. He has been proved right. I really don't think anyone else could have done it but Simon."
One Direction are set to go on a 20 date North American tour later this year.
