Lucas Barrios is a 'wanted' man which is a unique position for a footballer who only scored 1 goal in the past 2013-14 campaign but that is the pull a talented striker can have with a team with which he has experienced great success. The talented Paraguyan footballer has become the number 1 transfer market target for the football team Colo Colo even though he is currently employed by the Russian professional football club Spartak Moscow.

The talented striker seems to have fallen out of favor with his Russian squad as he made only 15 appearances for the team  and scored 1 goal. However, the team with which he came to prominence as a scoring sensation at the start of his professional career, Colo-Colo, seems to have its sights on pushing for the league title in their league, Apuerta, and feel that he could be the final piece to push them into the champions circle.

Interestingly, Lucas Barrios has remained very quiet on the matter neither denying any interest on his part nor confirming only saying that he will soon make a decision. A move back to the club could help him regain his scoring touch but to do so they might want him to take less money or have Spartak Moscow pay a signficant portion of his $4 million salary.

No one knows if Lucas Barrios will be part of Colo Colo or Spartak Moscow in 2014-15 but the fact that one team feels so enamored of his talents has some football insiders thinking that his current team, Spartak Moscow, is likely going to keep him around and see if he is able to recapture his scoring  touch.

As many men and women know and understand, there is nothing like attention from a past love to make an individual more appreciated by their current partner. If Lucas Barrios receives more playing time with Spartak Moscow in 2014-15 he might want to think about sending a little 'thank you' to his old team Colo Colo for helping enhance his popularity with his current team.
