The International field hockey career of Luciana Aymar has been a very long and enjoyable one, not only for the very talented player herself, but also for those who have had the pleasure to play with her and against her, as well as those who have seen her play the game. While Luciana Aymar does have one game left in her International hockey career for Argentina but it is not the game she was hoping for.
Luciana Aymar was hoping to play her final game for Argentina and say farewell to her international hockey career in the final but, unfortunately for the star, they lost 4-0 to Netherlands in the semi-final. Luciana had to fight back the tears, as she stated that she was still going to fight had to walk away from her career with a medal in her hand.
Aymar explained, "One was trained to play the whole world, and I have the anger of not being able to give me a hundred percent to my friends, not having enjoyed all the competition. Luckily I had the ability to play many years with the Argentina shirt, and I will enjoy the last game trying to win a medal."
Luciana Aymar did admit that her team mates are going to have to get used to playing without her once she was gone, "Girls are going to have to get used to playing without me, every cloud has a silver lining. We could not play in the best way, the performance was not the best, it was a shame. Now we fear that raising emotionally to win a medal in this world, Luciana added.
Argentina will play United States in the third place playoff match tomorrow.
