Charlie’s Angels actress, Lucy Liu is set to appear alongside Russell Crowe in the RZA directed action movie The Man with the Iron Fists and she has taken the time to talk about what people can expect from the movie. Lucy admitted that it was a joy to work with RZA, who she claims has done a fantastic job on the movie, turning it in to a great piece of cinema.
Liu explained, “I can’t say a lot about it but we shot it in China. I worked with Russell [Crowe] and RZA, he’s the director and he also wrote the movie and he did a fantastic job, his first time directing. He really put something together that’s an epic piece. It’s also set in the 1800s so he really had his hands full with everything. I think it’s going to be remarkable, there’s some incredible action scenes in it as well. I’m really looking forward to seeing it as well.”
The Man with the Iron Fists centres around a blacksmith in feudal China, who is forced in to a position where he has to use the weapons, that he makes for the villagers, to help defend himself and the rest of the village. As well as Lucy Liu, Russell Crowe and RZA, The Man with the Iron Fists also stars Pam Grier and Jamie Chung and is set to be released next year.
