It has been reported that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could be set to leave the club this summer, following his behaviour in the past few weeks and the fact that he lied to the club. Luis Suarez told Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish that he would be the model professional and shake the hand of Patrice Evra. However, he went back on his word and by refusing to shake Evra’s hand, brought shame to himself and the club.
The whole ordeal started when Luis Suarez made racial remarks to Patrice Evra, landing himself an eight match ban. The match against Manchester United at Old Trafford was his first game back and all eyes were set to be on his hand shake with Patrice Evra. Unfortunately, Luis Suarez decided to act like a petulant child and refused to shake Evra’s hand.
Kenny Dalglish and the Liverpool owners have now expressed a great disappointment in Luis Suarez and his future at the club looks to be in jeopardy. It is a shame that such a talent player would act in such a way that he would harm the reputation of the club and now it seems like Liverpool have had enough and are ready to let Luis Suarez leave in the summer.
