Ian Somerhalder and Luke Hemsworth have just joined the cast of 'The Anomaly', a highly original action thriller that 'explores the issue of global terrorism'.

Luke Hemsworth at an event for Rock of Ages
Till date, Somerhalder is best known for his roles in 'Lost' and 'The Vampire Diaries', but this film might help introduce him to a wider audience. Luke Hemsworth, on the other hand, is best known more for being the brother if Liam Hemsworth and Chris Hemsworth than his acting career so far. However, that's about to change since Luke is about to become the third Hemsworth brother to break out in Hollywood.
The Anomaly script is written by Simon Lewis and focuses on the 'travails of a traumatized ex-soldier who wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy, to find that he only has only nine minutes and 37 seconds of consciousness to work out why and how he got there.'

Ian Somerhalder and Luke Hemsworth will be starring in 'The Anomaly'
The film will be directed by Noel Clarke and in addition to Luke Hemsworth and Ian Somerhalder, the film also stars Noel Clarke, Brian Cox, and Alexis Knapp. While some outlets state that the film is a straight action thriller, others claim that it's more of a sci-fi pic. Either way, we're likely to find out once the film releases in 2014.
