Lykke Li recently announced plans to go on tour throughout the UK and the United States to promote her new album "I Never Learn". The album which was released in May 2014 contains songs which revolve around a past breakup which caused her the 'blues' which she disclosed that was a very good thing for her.
For many artists heartache inspires great writing and songs and that seems to be the situation for the talented Swedish singer as this album has already featured the singles "Love Me Like I'm Not Made of Stone" and "No Rest For The Wicked" and a third single due for release is "Gunshot".
The singer/actress who recently made her acting debut in the Swedish crime film "Tommy" admitted that while fans might tire of hearing her being moody and mournful after a failed relationship she needed to get it out of her system and she is better for it. Moreover, she was not sad when she wrote this album as it shows her fighting and angry, words of joy to music insiders who understand that even the most beautiful music sometimes has its underpinnings from pain such as that of a past relationship.
This new album is a major step in her development as an artist as she has moved away from the 'pop' concepts that she included in her early albums and shows an artist who has become much more comfortable about who she is as a woman.
This album "I Never Learn" is the final part of the trilogy that was in her original plans and it is apparent that while she may have other interests such as acting emerging in her life she is an entertainer who loves to sing and is ready to put forth some memorable performances on stage while letting her fans see a more mature, grown up version of Lykke Li.
