It has been reported by TMZ, that Lyndsy Fonseca has filed for divorce from her artist husband Matthew Smiley, after three years of marriage together. The 26-year-old actress filed for divorce at Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences".

Lyndsy and Matthew met each other a few years back and were eventually married in April 2009. However, as with a lot of relationships these days, it did not last and the couple split up back in July 2012. Now, Lyndsy has decided that the time is right to officially file for divorce.
For those of you who are not familiar with Lyndsy Fonseca, she has appeared in a number of television shows and movies. Lyndsy plays the daughter of Ted Moseby in How I Met Your Mother and has also starred in Nikita, Desperate Housewives and the movie Kick-Ass.

Lyndsy Fonseca currently plays the character Alex in Nikita, which is set to return with the second half of season three on January 18. Meanwhile, Lyndsy will reprise her role as Katie Deauxma in Kick-Ass 2, which is set to be released on June 28 in the US and July 19 in the UK.
