There are always a number of child stars in Hollywood at any given time and, while some of these child stars go on to make the transition into grown up roles, there are others that fall to progress in their careers. One of the biggest child stars to ever grace the big screen would have to be Macaulay Culkin, who was absolutely huge in the 90s.
Macaulay Culkin rose to stardom appearing in films such as Uncle Buck, My Girl, Home Alone, Richie Rich and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, to name just a few. Unfortunately though, Macaulay was unable to keep that cute kid thing going on as he got older and his acting left a lot to be desired later in life.
However, it now looks like we might get to see Macaulay Culkin back on the big screen, as he has been linked to a role in a live action adaptation of the classic tale Aladdin. It is not clear what role Macaulay Culkin would play in the Aladdin movie but he is good friends with Adam Green, who is set to direct the film.
Adam recently said of the project, "I am blessed with some amazing actor friends... and have said they will be in Aladdin, if I get funding for it." The funding is the one true stumbling block and Adam Green is trying to get the Aladdin movie off the ground with a Kickstarter campaign, which has been responsible for funding I Wish I Was Here and the Veronica Mars movie.
We hope that Adam Green is able to get the funding, as we would love to see Macaulay Culkin back on the big screen. Watch this space!
