Sometimes in Hollywood you can get great actors who try directing and don't do such a great job. Then there are great actors who go on to direct great movies, such as Clint Eastwood and you can also get mediocre actors who prove to have a talent for directing, like Ben Affleck.
The latest star to move behind the camera is Ryan Gosling, who will be directing the movie How to Catch a Monster, which he also wrote the screenplay for. How to Catch a Monster will star Christina Hendricks in the lead role and she has admitted that she cannot wait to get started on the movie.
Hendricks explained, "I haven't started shooting it yet. We are going to wait until we finish up this season of Mad Men so I'll start in May. I've already managed to do some time in rehearsal and work with Ryan, who is passionate and wonderful and smart. And I'm really looking forward to getting to Detroit to start."
As well as starring Christina Hendricks, How to Catch a Monster will also star Eva Mendes, Saoirse Ronan and Matt Smith. How to Catch a Monster will begin shooting in May, with the view to a 2014 release date.
