Madonna has expressed her relief after her schizophrenic stalker has been locked up after he broke into her home.
The star spoke of her upset and distress for both herself and her children been stalked by Polish man, Grzegorz Matlok, who claimed Madonna was in love with him. The obsessive fan broke into her £10 million London townhouse and reportedly explored her bedroom and closet, before being found my the singer's friend, Nathan Rissman.
Madonna gave a statement to Southwark crown court saying, "I do not know the defendant, I’ve not had any form of relationship with the defendant, nor have I had any form of contact by phone or by email or by any other way with the defendant." She also told the Metro: " I’m worried about my children’s safety. I’m also naturally worried about my own safety."
Grezgorz Matlock, who suffers from the mental illness schizophrenia, was detained indefinitely in a secure psychiatric facilty and was also given a restraining order.
