Young Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams has revealed that, while she and Sophie Turner have to hate each other onscreen, they are actually good friends off screen. Maisie and Sophie play the sisters Arya and Sansa Stark in the hit HBO fantasy drama but there is certainly no sisterly love.
Williams explained, “It’s funny because she’s not like Sansa in real life. She’s a great lass and we both like the same things. Then onscreen, we have our little arguments and things, so you get to see a different side of each other. In real life, I’ve never seen the side of Sophie where she says, ‘Oh You’re an Idiot’.”
She added, “But I didn’t find it difficult to hate Sophie onscreen. I mean, I love her to pieces, but I didn’t find it a challenge really, as an actress.” Game of Thrones season two is now well in to the filming process and is set to premiere on HBO on April 15.
