The has been plenty of talk about the eagerly anticipated movie Man of Steel, with many people already praising it for its realism. Now, the latest person to weigh in on the realism of Man of Steel is Weta Digital's Joe Letteri, who has praised Zack Snyder and the team for the work they have done.
He told Bleeding Cool, "I can’t talk too much about Man of Steel yet, and I haven’t seen the whole thing yet, but overall it’s the story that’s most exciting. It’s a nice re-envisioning of the story of Superman leaving his homeworld and coming to this new one."
Letteri added, "If you look at what Zack [Snyder] has done you’ll see that they’ve abandoned a lot of the pretense that was in the comics and asked 'Can we still make this work?' They’re sticking to realism as much as possible. Fantastic elements are still there but a lot of it that been trimmed back to make it feel as though this actually happened."
Man of Steel will see Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent aka Superman, while the rest of the all star cast includes Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Russell Crowe, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff. Man of Steel is released on June 14.
