Many people were a bit surprised when they learnt that British actor Henry Cavill had been cast as American superhero Superman for the Man of Steel movie. However, Henry has stated that he was never worried by the prospect and believes he has what it takes to be a great Superman.

He told TMZ, “It didn’t even cross my mind. Acting is acting you know.” Henry was then asked if he was excited by the fact that he was going to be seeing action figures of himself being sold. “That’s gonna be pretty cool I think, yeah,” he said.
Cavill was also asked whether an American star should ever be allowed to play James Bond and Henry admitted that he would not have a problem with that, as long as the actor was good enough. He even pointed out that people we disappointed when Daniel Craig was named as Bond but he has proved the doubters wrong.

You can catch Henry Cavill in his portrayal of Superman in the Zack Snyder movie Man of Steel, which also stars Russell Crowe, Amy Adams and Michael Shannon and is set to be released in both the US and the UK on June 14, 2013.
