There is still well over a year until the new Superman movie Man of Steel is released but that has not stopped Warner Bros. from preparing for a sequel already. There is no telling whether Man of Steel will be a success or not but Warner Bros. are playing it safe.
It appears that Warner Bros. are getting a script in place ready for a possibly sequel, so that they can get Man of Steel 2 started as soon as possible, once Man of Steel proves to be a financial success. However, there are no real details on the Man of Steel sequel.
It has been confirmed that ideas for the sequel are being put in place and a script is likely to get underway once they have a solid idea of a story. Yet we do not know who has been lined up to pen the screenplay and it is unclear whether the cast and crew of Man of Steel will return for the sequel.
The Zack Snyder directed Man of Steel is set to star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon and Laurence Fishburne. Man of Steel is currently due to be released on June 14, 2013, so do not expect to see a Man of Steel sequel until around 2015.
