It is fair to say that 2013 looks set to be a huge year for fantastic movies. Marvel will again lead the way, as they released the likes of Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, which will both make them a ton of money. But there are other movies that make 2013 so exciting.

Benedict Cumberbatch as John Harrison in Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek Into Darkness is released on May 17 in both the US and the UK and we will all be hoping that it follows on from the previous movie and then some. Star Trek was a huge success in 2009 and, from the trailers we have seen so far, Star Trek Into Darkness looks set to be even bigger and better. We simply cannot wait to see Benedict Cumberbatch and the role that he will actually be playing.
Man of Steel will hit the big screen in both the US and the UK on June 14 and DC will be hoping that it is as great as we are being led to believe it is. Some fans have questioned the casting of Henry Cavill as Superman but from what we have seen so far, he certainly looks the part. Man of Steel has the potential to be the biggest movie of the year and that will only go to ensure that a Justice League movie gets made sooner rather than later.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set picture
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is still someway from its release, as we have to wait until November 22 to see it but it could well be worth the wait. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the movie that we are most looking forward to seeing and it will be interesting to see how Francis Lawrence moves the film on from the previous movie.
