With the January transfer window just days away from opening, there will be all sorts of rumours about who is buying who and what money is being spent. However, any transfer rumour that surrounds Manchester United can be written off, as they are not spending in January.

Sir Alex Ferguson on the touch line
It has already been claimed that Manchester United are interested in signing the likes of Thomas Ince and Adel Taarabt but neither of those signings will happen. Adel Taarabt has pledged his future to Queens Park Rangers, while Thomas Ince looks set to rejoin Liverpool.
With that said, there will be plenty more transfer rumours to come and Manchester United will be linked to plenty more players. While some of these rumours will upset fans and some will delight fans, the fact of the matter is, Manchester United will not be signing anybody in the January transfer window.

Sir Alex Ferguson with Nick Powell
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed this, saying that he has no need to sign anymore players, as he feels his squad is strong enough. Alex says that, with the likes of Nick Powell and Alex Buttner, they have a nice amount of young players pushing for a first team spot and he doesn’t want to jeopardise their development, by pushing them down the pecking order.
Manchester United are currently 6 points clear at the top of the Premier League and are in the last 16 of the Champions League, where they will face Real Madrid.
