Manchester United has had three poor results in its first three games since the team ended a successful preseason and that has sent Louis van Gaal looking for answers in quick fashion. As many as ten players on the current squad may be playing elsewhere after the Monday September 1, 2014 transfer deadline and the team's spending will likely make the team the most expensive squad ever assembled.
After losing 4-0 in the Capital One Cup against MK Dons the club started its signing spree by getting the signature of forward/midfielder Angel Di Maria on paper for 59.7 GBP and the manager Louis Van Gaal made it clear to the media that this will be one of several signings.
In a move that many would equate to the chopping of heads after a last meal the new manager of Manchester United sat down with several players after he states 'lunch' and informed them of his decision that they can look for other places to play football because they will not be seeing the pitch for his squad. Two of these players include England international team players Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley which must make many fans of the English national team quite fearful for that sides future.
The Angel di Maria signing was huge in that it represents his desire to field a squad of similar philosophy to the attacking squads that he put on the pitch for the Netherlands national team and his wish list includes Williams Carvalho and Arturo Vidal. The fact that the team has already indicated that they are going to open up the war chest to buy players suggests that deals for the aforementioned desired players might already be completed.
The axe is swinging at Manchester United as Louis van Gaal reshapes the team as he desires and while he is preaching patience the manager is showing that he has little when it comes to having players who can perform how he wants.
Look out for Manchester United because there is a growing suspicion that he is going to have them back in the winning column very soon.
