Manchester United’s promising English midfielder Tom Cleverley is set to return from his injury nightmare this afternoon, at Old Trafford and the 22 year old has vowed to take out his frustrations on Liverpool. Tom has been out of action with an ankle injury that he picked up back in October but states that he is 100% fit and raring to go.
Cleverley explained, "The comeback has been a long time coming but I've worked hard for it and hopefully I can be successful again. I feel 100 per cent. I've always said the most frustrating time for a footballer is when you're injured. To be told you can't do your job for 10-12 weeks is massively hard to deal with. But the physios have got me in tip-top shape for the run-in. I'm very confident in my ability and feel like I can add something."
He added, "When I moved to Manchester, it was an eye-opener. Historically, it's a massive rivalry. Two clubs with the best history. It's always a big game. I always looked up to David Beckham but now Paul Scholes is the man. I used to watch him as a kid, so to play alongside him would be a real pleasure." Manchester United vs Liverpool is set to kick off at 12:45 at Old Trafford.
