Over the years there has been a huge influx of Australian stars making their way over to the US, where they have gone is search of betting their career and become a huge star on a global scale. We have seen Australian singers, Australian models and, most of all, Australian actors and actresses all heading to America in search of their dreams.
A lot of these Australian stars made their name appearing in either Neighbours or Home and Away, the two top Australian soaps, and, for actress Margot Robbie it was Neighbours where she rose to fame. Margot played the role of Donna for 311 episodes between 2008 and 2011, before leaving to pursue her Hollywood dream.
It was a very wise choice by the young actress, as Margot Robbie has gone on to become one of the most in demand actresses in Hollywood, appearing in some impressive movies of late. Margot Robbie appeared in the movie About Time, as well as the film The Wolf of Wall Street and she is not finished there.
As well as having four other movies in production at the moment, it was recently announced that Margot Robbie will play the role of Jane in the live action movie version of Tarzan. The movie will see Alexander Skarsgard in the role of Tarzan, with Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson in supporting roles. Tarzan will be directed by David Yates and will open on July 1, 2016.
Margot Robbie has seen her career on a steady rise over the past few years and it looks set to continue over the coming years and long may it continue.
