It is fair to say that nudity in Hollywood is not the same as it once was, with people not frowning on it as much as they once did. There are more and more nude scenes in movies every year, so it is not such a big deal any more for the public, although it is not something that is taken lightly by those filming the nude scenes.
Australian actress Margot Robbie has seen her career reach new heights in recent years, landing a role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. In the film, Margot shares some nude scenes with Leonardo and she has opened up about agreeing to do such intimate scenes.
Robbie explained, "[Nudity is] different in this day and age, because of the internet. It was like, if I do this there will forever be YouTube clips of this, there will be slow-motion versions. It's not just the repercussions for myself - my brothers and my grandparents have to deal with that. So it's not something to be taken lightly."
Margot Robbie also admitted that she hates films that throw in nude scenes just for the sake of having nude scenes in them. Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio also spoke about The Wolf of Wall Street nude scenes, admitting that they refused to use body doubles for the intimate scenes.
The Wolf of Wall Street is out now.
