Singer, actress and American Idol judge Mariah Carey has been talking about the joys of having a happy family. Mariah says that she never really felt like a family sort of woman, as she was too into her career, but after meeting Nick Cannon, her priorities changed.

Carey was talking to In Touch, when she explained, “I never thought I'd experience motherhood. My career was my life. When you find the right person, you (want to) go through with it. I'm so in love. Every moment is just incredible.”
Mariah then went on to talk about watching her children grow and how much fun she has with her son Moroccan, “He's my little buddy. We watch movies together. He can be a little more aggressive, but not in a bad way – he'll give his sister a little tap when she's trying to give him a hug. Monroe is just a sweetie.”

Mariah Carey is set to appear on the big screen later this year, starring alongside Alex Pettyfer, John Cusack, Robin Williams, James Marsden and Forest Whitaker, in the movie The Butler, which has been written and directed by Lee Daniels.
