It has been reported that new mother and singer, Mariah Carey is set to team up with American Idol judge Randy Jackson, who is looking to manage the All I Want For Christmas is You singer. As of yet, neither Mariah Carey or Randy Jackson or any of their representatives have confirmed the claims.
However, Randy Jackson has been seen going to and from meetings at the offices of Mariah Carey’s record label, as he negotiates managing her career. It is not the most surprising news ever, as Mariah and Randy have been friends for over 20 years and have worked together on a number of occasions in the past.
Randy Jackson was the vice president at the record label Columbia Records, which Mariah Carey was signed to from 1988 until 2001. Mariah Carey has also used Randy Jackson for his bass playing skills, in the studio and on tour. It will be interesting to see how much of an affect Randy Jackson will have on Mariah Carey’s career, considering the amount of time he has to spend on American Idol.
