Mark Ruffalo is the latest actor to attempt to portray the character Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk, when The Avengers is released later this month. Mark has admitted that he felt rather nervous when meeting the other stars of The Avengers, claiming it is much like the first day of school.

Ruffalo explained, “Both Jeremy [Renner, who plays Hawkeye] and I were new to the whole thing. The others, like Robert Downey Jr. [Iron Man], Chris Hemsworth [Thor] and Chris Evans [Captain America] have already been in their own superhero movies. It was like your first day of school.”
Mark admitted that, while many people could have found the whole thing a bit too daunting and made a run for it, he decided to stick around, if only to get to spend some time with Hollywood legend Samuel L Jackson. He added, “When you’ve got [Samuel L] Jackson standing in front of you, you don’t run. I melted.”

The Avengers stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Ramanoff/Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The Avengers is released on April 26 in the UK and May 4 in the US.
