There are often times when we take a look at some of the new movies that are in the works and find that we get very excited about certain projects, usually due to the actors that we are going to get to see working together on the big screen. Sometimes though, it gets even better than that, when we get a very exciting cast coming together, as well as having a top director on board to helm the project.

That is exactly the case with the planned new movie project The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, which has an impressive cast, along with a top director. The movie will see Oscar Isaac and Mark Rylance sharing the big screen together, while Steven Spielberg is on board to direct and, as well as that, the film also has a rather interesting story line, which we cannot wait to see playing out on the big screen.
The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara has been officially described as, "The Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara recounts the story of a young Jewish boy in Bologna, Italy in 1858 who, having been secretly baptized, is forcibly taken from his family to be raised as a Christian. His parents' struggle to free their son becomes part of a larger political battle that pits the Papacy against forces of democracy and Italian unification."

As well as having Mark Rylance and Oscar Isaac on board, The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara will also star Isaac Eshete. Steven Spielberg will direct The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, from the screenplay that Tony Kushner has developed from the David I. Kertzer novel, with the movie expecting to begin shooting in the next few weeks or months.
