Mark Sanchez is perhaps one of the most hated players at the Quarterback position in the NFL. Sanchez, who was drafter in the first round (5th overall) by the New York Jets in 2009 showed promise as a starting Quarterback in his first three seasons with the Jets but something happened in the 2011-2012 season.
Sanchez started making more mistakes and acting as if he was rattled and wasn't showing the leadership he had once showed his coaches and team mates. Was it perhaps the coaches call to bring in rookie from the Florida Gators Tim Tebow to share snaps?
Showing a lack of faith in your starting Quarterback could be argued to be a bad coaching decision and could have been the deciding factor in the fall of this young talent who looked to be a promising addition to the New York Jets offence. Will Sanchez ever return to the Starting position?
The answer that most would give you is no, as a matter of fact there are many fans who don't believe that Sanchez should even be second string or even on the practice squad. Mark Sanchez has fallen victim to what we have seen so many other promising players fall victims to in this unforgiving sport. Was it his fault? Did he lose his edge? Or was it the sudden lack of confidence his coaching staff showed in him that will almost certainly be the end of his short career?
