There is no denying that Mark Strong is a very talented actor, who has been in some very impressive movies. However, he has also been in some flops, such as John Carter and Green Lantern. Now, Mark has been talking about the Green Lantern movie, admitting that he was upset that it was not better received.

Strong was talking to Empire about the failure of John Carter, when he explained, “I felt the same way about Green Lantern. I really liked the build up and Geoff Johns' commitment to Green Lantern, and everybody worked on it with the best of intentions.”

He added, “Ya know, nobody makes a movie thinking 'oh god let's just make a terrible movie, let's not really try in this one shall we? Should we not even bother?' Everyone was really committed, and it's a shame it didn't catch fire in the right way.”

With Green Lantern due to appear in the Justice League movie, it is likely that the stand alone film will get a reboot with a completely new cast. However, Mark Strong is one of the few people involved with the Green Lantern movie who can actually hold his head up high as, while he did not have a great deal of screen time, what he was in was spot on.

Do you think they should completely reboot the Green Lantern movie?
