When it was announced that director Michael Bay was walking away from the Transformers franchise after making the Transformers trilogy, there were a lot of pleased fans who were hoping a new director could come on board and improve the franchise in a big way. However, Michael Bay then had a change of heart and has returned to direct the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction.
On a positive note though, Michael Bay did decide to mix things up by going for an all new cast, along with new Autobots and even the introduction of the Dinobots. Mark Wahlberg has been given the lead role for the movie and now the new Transformers: Age of Extinction trailer has been released and it looks a lot better than many were expecting.
For those of you who are not aware of the plot details for Transformers: Age of Extinction, the movie will centre around a mechanic (Mark Wahlberg) and his daughter (Nicola Peltz), who make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them.
As well as starring Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz, the Transformers: Age of Extinction cast also includes Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Titus Welliver, Han Geng, Sophia Myles, and Li Bingbing. Transformers: Age of Extinction is directed by Michael Bay, based on the Ehren Kruger screenplay, with a release date set for June 27 in the US and July 10 in the UK.
For now though, why not check out Mark Wahlberg and co. in the new Transformers: Age of Extinction trailer below.
