Those of you familiar with Martin Kemp and his brother Gary Kemp will recognise them as the brothers from the 1980s pop group Spandau Ballet. You will also remember them from the 1991 The Krays, where they played the legendary London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
Now, 22 years later, Martin Kemp and Gary Kemp will reunite on the big screen, once again in the role of gangster brothers, in the movie Assassin. Martin and Gary will play gangster brothers who go by the name of the Alberts brothers, starring alongside Danny Dyer.
Assassin producer Jonathan Sothcott said, "The Krays is one of the best-loved British films of all time, an untouchable classic that only a lunatic would remake, but at the core of that movie are the fantastic performances of Martin and Gary. Reuniting them for Assassin is a real coup, a dream come true, and I know their army of fans are going to love seeing what unpleasant plans they have for Mr Dyer."
Assassin is written, directed and co-produced by J.K. Amalou, with production set to begin, on location in London, on September 9, with the movie expected to be released sometime in 2014.
