It has been reported that Marvel are closer than they have ever been to making a big screen adaptation of the comic book hero Ant-Man. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that he is in regular contact with writer Edgar Wright and progress has been promising.
Feige explained to Bleeding Cool, "I'll just say it's closer than it's ever been in its long maybe eight-year history, and I usually e-mail Edgar every two or three days and over those eight years it's got further away and closer.”
He added, "We are now closer than we've ever been, so I hope it will come together shortly." It was reported late last year, that Scott Pilgrim vs the World director Edgar Wright and his co writer Joe Cornish had delivered a brand new draft of their Ant-Man script.
Marvel are currently in the process of delivering a number of movie sequels but it seems that they are keen to get some new Marvel characters adapted for the big screen. As well as Ant-Man, there has previously been talk of a Black Panther movie, an Inhumans movie and a Guardians of the Galaxy film.
