Actress Cobie Smulders at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con revealed in an interview that she was almost Kate Austen in the hit television series "Lost". The talented actress who starred as Robin Scherbatsky on the hit show "How I Met Your Mother" from 2005 to 2014 shocked her fans while she and her Canadian colleague, Evangeline Lily were together following an announcement about the new Antman film.
It is hard to imagine that Cobie Smulders doing poorly in an audition as she is an actress who combines scintillating looks with exceptional acting ability but this is exactly what happened according to her approximately 10 years ago. If fate had not intervened television fans might never have seen Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky.
She and Evangeline Lily had met while on a plane ride to their "Lost" audition. Cobie Smulders went to the audition and " ... bombed the audition" and as a result the part went to Evangeline Lily. Cobie Smulders then ended up auditioning for "How I Met Your Mother" and became part of one of the longest running, most successful television series.
Cobie Smulders has now moved on from her series and while she is still constantly being asked questions about the series she has become a favourite of the producers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
It has just been announced that she will reprise her role of Agent Maria Hill in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" in season 2 and she will also be seen in a feature role in the Marvel movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron" as Maria Hill which she is currently filming.
As as result, fans can get used to seeing Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill in Marvel projects, an image and thought that has left many fans of the comic series and of this talented actress smiling.
