Following her huge rise to stardom in the entertainment industry, along with her sister Ashley Olsen, the two sisters decided to make the move into the fashion industry and have enjoyed further success with their fashion label The Row. Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy announced their engagement back in March and are looking to start planning their wedding.
One of the most important decisions to make when planning a wedding is the wedding dress and, while she has admitted that they are some way off of the big day, Mary-Kate did suggest that she is considering designing and making her own wedding dress. The Olsen twins have experience in making wedding dresses, having done so for their friend in the past.
Mary-Kate was speaking with WWD, when she told them, "I'm not even there yet. I think it may be a matter of getting five or six, or making two or three and being stressed out. That seems kind of far away. We'll take one step at a time."
Meanwhile, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are preparing to open their first standalone shop in their home town of Los Angeles, for their label The Row. While Los Angeles does make perfect sense for their new shop, the girls have admitted that they were torn between their and New York.
Mary-Kate added, "We've always wanted our own store - it's always been part of the plan. It was a toss-up between New York and Los Angeles, and when this space became available, we jumped on it. It used to be a hair salon and my sister and I used to come here, so we were very aware of the space."
With Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy only being engaged for a couple of months, it could be some time before we see them tie the knot.
