It seems that the fans of the Fifty Shades of Grey novels are not going to just lay down and accept the casting choices for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. They are clearly disgruntled by the choice and have decided to start a petition to get fans favourite Matt Bomer recast as Christian Grey.
Many people were shocked to discover the Charlie Hunnam was cast as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson was cast as Anastasia Steele, as they were never really mentioned. Now, Matt Bomer has opened up about the casting and, while he was grateful to the fans for their support, he admitted that he was looking forward to seeing what Charlie and Dakota do.
Bomer was chatting to the guys over at Entertainment Tonight, when he briefly touched on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, saying, "I'm so grateful for the fans and touched," before then adding, "I'm looking forward to seeing the movie with Charlie and Dakota."
The Fifty Shades of Grey movie will be directed By Sam Taylor-Johnson, based on the screen play that is being developed by Kelly Marcel from the EL James novel. The Fifty Shades of Grey film will open on August 1, 2014 in both the US and the UK.
