While it could be said that Hollywood actor Matt Bomer has faced a lot of challenges over the course of his life and his career to date, it seems that he is still dealing with one of the biggest challenges that life has to offer. Being a parent. Matt has three sons with his publicist husband Simon Halls and he has opened up about being a father to his young boys.
Bomer told People, "I love it. It's the most profound gift and the most daunting challenge at times. I just want to be hopefully somebody who helps shape these souls without changing how they came into the world. To just give them the structure they need to thrive in the world but at the same time let their own personalities shine through. Some days that's easier than others."
Matt Bomer and Simon Halls have been married since 2011 and the actor first publicly spoke about being gay during his 2012 acceptance speech for his Steve Chase Humanitarian Award. Matt and Simon have an eldest son who is almost nine, while they also have twin sons aged six.
As far as his acting career is concerned, Matt Bomer stars alongside Taylor Kitsch, Julia Roberts, Jonathan Groff, Jim Parsons and Mark Ruffalo in the movie The Normal Heart, which has been directed by Ryan Murphy, based on the Tony Award winning play about the AIDS crisis. The Normal Heart will premiere on HBO on May 25 and Matt Bomer has already been receiving rave reviews for his performance in the film.
