It seems that last year’s winner of The X Factor, Matt Cardle has achieved all that he wants to in the world of music and is happy to commit career suicide. Matt has taken every attempt possible to be dumped by his record label Syco and now he has had a direct pop at the label.
Previously, Cardle has stated that he is annoyed that Simon Cowell is putting more effort into One Direction that he is into him. He has also had a pop at The X Factor, saying that he will be happy when people stop associating him with the show. However, his latest outburst could be the final nail in the coffin.
Matt Cardle has slammed Syco by saying that they are just a pop label and not a label for real artists. He said, "You've got people like Kings of Leon, John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen on Columbia, as opposed to Syco where you've got your Cher Lloyds and your One Directions. Columbia is a real artist's label."
Matt Cardle is set to release his debut album Letters on October 17 but if he continues with his constant diva style outbursts, it could be his last. It seems to us that Matt Cardle seems to be angling for a move away from Syco, however that is just our interpretation of it. Let us know what you think.
