It seems that there is quite the rivalry between two of the winners of the UK singing competition The X Factor. James Arthur, who was the winner of this year’s show, has had a dig at former male winners, which includes Matt Cardle, and Matt has not been impressed by what he’s heard.

Arthur kicked things off, by saying, “The blokes that have won before have had a niche, they haven't sold records because they haven't made great albums. That's the bottom line.” This did not sit too well with Matt Cardle.
Cardle has since responded to those claims, by telling the Daily Mirror, “I said, 'Look, James, you're very talented but you haven't sold two million records yet, which I have. You haven't had two top ten albums yet, which I've had. Don't start mouthing off before you've even really left the show.’”

James Arthur was hoping that his debut single Impossible would be number one for Christmas but it seems that he may not get his wish, as Justice Collective have passed him in the midweek chart. Meanwhile, James has previously said that he will have full creative control on his debut album.
