Last year’s winner of The X Factor, Matt Cardle has hit out at the show claiming that he is sick of people constantly associating him with it. Matt also revealed that, when he won the competition, he had to borrow some of the money in advance. However, he never has received the full £1million that the show promotes.
Cardle explained, “I hear people in the street saying, ‘There's the guy that won X Factor’. I can't wait for that to just disappear.” He then added, “When I got the record deal I got an advance to keep me housed and fed while making my album. The million pound thing, that's just for TV.”
Many people have criticised Matt Cardle for his recent poor performance on The X Factor results show and now that he has shown a lack of respect for the show that made him, it might not be too long before he can say good bye to any record deal at all. The X Factor continues this Saturday on ITV1.
