CW's 'Star-Crossed', previously titled 'Oxygen', has been officially picked up to series by the network. The first clip from the show is online, introducing us to Matt Lanter and Aimee Teegarden's star-crossed lovers.
Why are they star-crossed? Well, it's because Lanter plays an alien boy and Teegarden plays a human girl. The show, which is produced by CBS Studios, is about an alien species coming to Earth and a forbidden romance igniting between an alien boy and a human girl.
The official synopsis provided for the show [via IMDB] is, "About an epic romance between a human girl and an alien boy when he and eight others of his kind are integrated into a suburban high school 10 years after they landed on Earth and were consigned to an internment camp."
The show is a mid-season pickup for the CW, and it has been building buzz for a couple of months now. The clip shows us that these aliens, called Atrians, aren't received with the warmest welcome on Earth. To find out more, you'll have to tune in to the CW this fall to watch the pilot episode. In addition to Lanter and Teegarden, 'Star-Crossed' also stars Grey Damon, Heather Bloom, Malese Jow, Greg Finley, Natalie Hall, Maggie Elizabeth Jones, and Jesse Luken.
