Matthew has opened up about taking part in the run, revealing how he has been training for the event.
Lewis explained, "I started training back in April, but started to step it up in the last two to three months. It was tough to start with, having never done any long distance running at all. Breaking through that first barrier was hard work, but it is amazing how quickly your body gets used to it and we are up to running 10 and 11 miles now. I have been getting back from London at eight at night after filming and I am in a frame of mind where I do not want to miss a session, so I stick to it.”
As for his acting career, Matthew Lewis stars in the movie The Sweet Shop, which centres around a rock star, who returns to the village where he grew up following the death of his mother. While there, he discovers that many of his childhood friends never left the village, including a certain girl who runs the sweet shop.
The Sweet Shop sees Matthew Lewis playing the role of a reporter, while the rock star is played by Seb Hurtardo, with Gemma Atkinson playing the sweet shop owner. Ben Myers wrote and directed The Sweet Shop, which is yet to get an official release date.
