Interstellar is looking to be one of the more interesting films that will hit theaters in the next few years, in no small part thanks to its director, Christopher Nolan. Nolan has been at the head of some of the most ambitious and successful original films, including Inception, Memento, and the Prestige. Now, he takes on space with his new sci-fi epic 'Interstellar'.
Although we don't know too much about the plot, the one sentence description for the movie has been, "[It will] "depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding."
McConaughey was previously rumored to be in talks for the leading role in the film, and he has now confirmed the rumors. In a new interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune, all McConaughey would say is, "I'm confirming." He wouldn't divulge any other details, which makes sense since most of Nolan's projects are shrouded in secrecy.
McConaughey is a pretty interesting couple of years coming up. After being best known as the romantic comedy guy for the past decade, he's drastically turned his image around in the past two years. He has two prestige projects coming out this year, 'The Dallas Buyer's Club' and 'The Wolf of Wall Street'. He now has 'Interstellar' coming out in 2014, and then 'Thunder Run' set for 2015.
