The career of Matthew McConaughey has been a very interesting one, to say the least. It was just a few years ago now that Matthew's career was considered a bit of a laughing-stock, with the actor putting in some poor performances in some very bad movies. However, McConaughey has since gone on to put in some fantastic performances in some impressive movies, bagging himself the Best Actor Oscar at the Academy Awards this year, for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.
This has led to Matthew McConaughey becoming one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood and it looks like we may well know what his next project will be. Matthew has been linked to the lead role in the movie The Company Man, although his agent insists that it is far from being a done deal yet.
For those of you interested to learn more about the movie The Company Man, it is "based on true events. CIA agent Edwin Wilson went behind enemy lines to secure a weapons contract and report information back to the CIA shortly after the Cold War. He had a meteoric rise until company policies changed and he was unceremoniously fired. Even after, he continued to operate as a man without a country and became public enemy No. 1 to the U.S. Attorney’s office."
The script for The Company Man is currently being worked on by Andrew Cypiot, while it will be produced by Mark Sourian and Josh Kazdan. While Matthew McConaughey is being linked to the lead role in The Company Man, there are currently no other stars being linked to the project, with casting only just underway. As well as not having a cast, there is still no director attached to the project either.
