The Mr Sunshine creator and star, Matthew Perry has revealed that he is planning to return to rehab. Perry announced that, next month, he will be entering an unknown facility in his bid towards sobriety. The decision is entirely his own and is not due to any relapse.
The former ‘Friends’ star released a statement on Thursday which read "I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery." He went on to joke "Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web.”
Perry first went into rehab back in 1997 where he did a 28 day programme for his addiction to Vicodin. He then went back into rehab in 2001 while filming Serving Sara. Matthew has admitted recently that he hopes to write future projects since he finds scriptwriting highly rewarding.
