Max Irons, Jake Abel, and everybody who has worked with Saoirse Ronan on ‘The Host’ have been raining praises on her and her performance throughout the movie. During the google livechat with Saoirse, Max, Jake, and Stephenie Meyer, Max revealed that the most difficult scenes for him in the movie were made easier by Saoirse’s performance opposite him.

He said, “Saoirse filled the character with so much finesse and nuances, she was hypnotic, it was amazing.” Jake also spoke about their most difficult and emotional scene together, saying, “Walking into that scene with Saoirse just makes everything easy and flow, and it really surprises me.”
The third trailer for the ‘Host’ released yesterday, and the performances seem to be significantly stronger than Stephanie Meyer’s other work ‘Twilight’. Saoirse Ronan does indeed inhabit her character with a lot of nuance, and she has the ability to imbue otherwise cheesy phrases with depth and strength.

‘The Host’ is set to release on March 29th, and free screenings have already become available. The first reviews of the movie will likely start coming out within the next few weeks, so we’ll have to see if critics seem to like ‘The Host’ more than they enjoyed the Twilight Saga.
