We have been very spoilt with all the fantastic television series that have been released over the past few years and, one of our favourite shows on television at the moment would have to be the hit NBC series The Blacklist, which is preparing for its second season. The Blacklist had a panel at the San Diego Comic Con at the weekend, where they revealed that some exciting news for the new season.

Prior to The Blacklist panel appearing at the San Diego Comic Con, actress Megan Boone, who plays the role of Elizabeth Keen in the show, admitted that she was very excited for the addition of a new cast member. Megan took to her official Twitter account to say, "psyched about our newest recurring cast member on #theblacklist announcing today at #SDCC #littleboxes".
 
During The Blacklist panel at San Diego Comic Con, they revealed that actress Mary-Louise Parker was joining the cast in a recurring role for The Blacklist season 2. While there was not a great deal of information about the character that Mary-Louise Parker would play, creator Jon Bokenkamp said that the character would be "completely tied to Reddington".

We are very intrigued to learn who Mary-Louise Parker will be playing in The Blacklist season 2 and how he character will impact the proceedings of the new season. With filming for The Blacklist season 2 fast approaching, we are getting very excited to see what will happen next.
 
The Blacklist season 2 will premiere on NBC on Monday, September 22 at 10/9c and Megan Boone has already seen the script for the opening episode. Megan tweeted, "So I've read #TheBlacklist season 2 premier script.  Haaaaa haaaa!!!" We cannot wait.
