The X Factor USA’s first ever winner, Melanie Amaro has revealed how she is hoping to get to do a duet with her idol Mariah Carey sometime in the future. Melanie also admitted that there are a number of stars that she would love to collaborate with, including Ne-Yo, due to his impressive song writing skills.
Amaro explained, "There's lots of people I want to work with. There so many different artists I think have so much talent that I think would really complement me and my voice. I really really want to do a song with Mariah, like, oh my God, she is like my idol. I also want to work with Ne-Yo, cause I hear he's a great song writer... There are a couple of other ones but I'll leave that for the album."
She then added that she has yet to spend any of her $5 million prize money for winning The X Factor USA. She continued, "You know, I haven't really bought anything yet. I'm still trying to debate what to buy." The X Factor USA is set to return to Fox later in the year for its second season but before then, rival singing competition American Idol is set to return for Season 11 this month.
